Narrative
education credentials as programmable, user-owned assets
Problem
Education produces credentials at massive scale, but they remain fragmented, non-portable, and context-bound. The opportunity is to move from institution-bound records to portable, verifiable assets.
Journey
Started from the observation that education outputs lose value once they leave their issuing institution.
Explored how identity and learning systems behave: fragmented across platforms, disconnected from opportunity, and lacking continuity over time.
Shifted from credentials as records to credentials as owned assets.
Designed around portable identity and verifiable credentials so learners retain ownership and credentials persist across platforms.
Built and shipped a live platform at ed3.xyz focused on creator-led education and credential issuance.
Achieved real usage with 10M+ transactions, 1000+ courses by 8k+ users, and 45k+ credentials issued for completion.
Experimented with distribution and monetization through the Eddies collection, generating $10k+ revenue while onboarding creators and learners.
Focused on bridging education to identity to opportunity.
The system evolved into a broader direction: learning should result in owned, portable identity rather than static records.
